Wednesday, October 12th Sharing Session:

Members: Andrew, Amanda, Adrian, Jen M, Jill, Cheryl, Rachel D
  • there were questions about what you can do with the document camera:
• use it to write in planners, journals - use it in SMARTBoard mode so that you can
write on it and save the writing, capture the work,
• use it to read books
• use it to demonstrate art and science lessons
  • some of the following were problems that individuals have experienced with the
document camera:
• over exposure, focusing issues, not working
Cheryl offered to talk to the techs at Duplicom to see if they can help with our document camera issues
This group was told that Aurora and Cheryl will be coming around to all the classrooms
to hook up all the SMARTBoards and document cameras in a consistent manner over
the next couple of weeks - we hope that this will solve some of the issues with inconsistencies
in SMARTBoard performance
Amanda would like help hooking up the TEC IBM to her SMARTBoard
Jen M commented that she is still experiencing freezing - Cheryl has times in the day where
the mouse disappears and to get it to come back she just plays with the tracking pad for a few
seconds and it magically returns

Here is a list of information that was prepared for CATC Camp on SMARTBoards
Enjoy Cheryl
